Ask Dangerous Lee: My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend

Q: My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend. She says she doesn’t know why she did it and she has no feelings for him. Yet all of a sudden she is really mad with me and doesn’t want to talk to me over something stupid. We live two days drive apart and she is refusing to see me. Right from the start we always promised if we were going to break up we would see each other to say goodbye. She hasn’t said she doesn’t want to be with me, but I am so confused. What can you say to a girl that gets mad at you no matter what to make her see you? I love her son like my own. My emotions are invested in this relationship and in my family. Please give me some advice. I need there to be a way that I can at least tell her how I feel to her face or should I just take a deep breath and let go because its already over?

A: You need to get rid of your girlfriend and your best friend because neither of them have loyalty to you. Whatever the “something stupid” is that has resulted in her not talking to you is just her dealing with her own guilt. You should be refusing to see her! Get some backbone or balls (take your pick) and let her go, for good. The two days drive is not worth it and gas is too damn high! You should also evaluate how you are mentally dealing with this situation and ask yourself what attracted you to her in the first place. You are essentially begging someone that cheated on YOU to communicate. That’s backwards! Stop letting people walk all over you, honey. You deserve better.
